Could you show your stripes and be a World Scout Jamboree Unit Leader?
We’re so excited that Greater London North has been allocated 6 patrols to become part of the UK Contingent to the 25 World Scout Jamboree in Korea during 2023.
That means we need to recruit at least 4 adult volunteers to become the Unit Leadership Team who make sure that our 36 – 54 young people will be empowered to be bold and brave to make the most of the life shaping experience the World Scout Jamboree will provide.
You could make the difference for someone like William, who attended a previous World Scout Jamboree in Japan and is now an Assistant Explorer Scout Leader in North London.

The UK Contingent is not shying away from challenging the perceptions of who an adult jamboree volunteer is, so if you’re prepared to Think big. Dream wild and Act together why not leap at the opportunity to apply to join our team?
This is an adult role, and considering prior experience, the UK Contingent advise Unit Leaders, Deputies and Assistant should be at least 18 years old by 1 January 2022.

Applications are open until 12th August 2021 for candidates interested in these roles:
- Unit Leader – The Unit Leader is a volunteer who will inspire and line manage a small team of adult volunteers (called the Unit Leadership Team). The team, working together will lead our Jamboree Unit from Greater London North to attend the 25 World Scout Jamboree (25WSJ) in Korea during summer 2023 as part of the UK Contingent.
- Deputy Unit Leader – The Deputy Unit Leader is a volunteer who will work closely and with delegated authority from the Unit Leader to inspire a small team of adult volunteers and help lead GLN’s Jamboree unit.
- Assistant Unit Leader – An Assistant Unit Leader is a volunteer who will contribute to a small team of adult volunteers who make up the unit leadership team that will take our unit to the World Scout Jamboree in Korea.
