Cubs District Badge Day

This weekend we held our first District face-to-face event for… quite a long time! Over 100 cubs from around the District descended on Scout Park to work towards some badges. Read on to find out what event organiser and ADC Cubs Sarah had to say about it.

It was so great to finally be back doing face-to-face District events! The Cub section spent the weekend earning lots of badges.

A total of 120 badges have been earned over the 2 days.

There was lots of smiling faces across Scout Park and it was great to hear lots of laughter and happiness again.

A total of 119 cubs from 10 groups had a wonderful time being out in the fresh air learning new skills for life.

There was a great variety of badges ranging from backwoods cooking to pioneering and cyclist to name a few. The athletics badge even ended with a tug of war between the leaders and children. You can guess who won.

A massive thank you to all those that helped organise the weekend and run badge bases. You’ve made over 100 cubs very happy.

We’re looking forward to running more District events this summer – we’ve missed you all.
